Questions about are characters Phil.
.last lesson on the 15th we were looking at what we no about the characters in (DNA).
So we got into groups of 5 and basically we had to come up with a one minute role play showing how characters home is like and how the character acts at home?
.my group’s character was Phil.
.why did we do this activity?
.We done this activity because we wanted to see how he is behind family life and how we think he would act round his family? Also to get more background off him to plot in to are new play (DNA).
.HOW DID THIS HELP ME?
.It help me because it is are only second lesson on (DNA) so I didn’t any much background behind my character (Phil) and to help me no what he feels on the inside as well as on the outside.
WHAT DID I NOTICE THAT WAS THE SAME IN ARE 1 Minute ROLE PLAYS?
.The same thing I saw in are role plays is when ever are characters said anything round the house they were always being ignored in any conversations around the house. And that was being shown in every ones group work.
POSTMAN!
.We discussed about the postman but what is the importance of this character in the play?
I think the importance of the postman is even thou he is not in the play we talk about him so we need background importance about him so when we are acting we have that image inside are head of what he looks like and what he smells like .
TASK2.
.WE CREATED ROLES AND THE WALL BECUASE OF HOW WE THINK ARE CHRACTER FEEL INSIDE OF HES BODY AND OUT SIDE OF THE BODY .
.YES I FOUND OUT THAT HE LIKES LEAH VERT MUCH, HE HAS QUITE SIDE TO HIM WHEN HE ISENT DOING DARS WITH HES MATES AND HE IS VERY RUDE ROUND THE FAMILY HOME.
TASK3.
Creating a back story for your character u worked on
.what is a back storey? = a back-story in drama is background information about your characters home life, how the character acts round other people plus what his environment is like.
Why is it important for actors to understand about the characters back-story?
It is important for us actor to no about our characters back-story because we will have to act it out like we are that character and if we don’t no what his background life is like its not going relate very well so bye having background information with have key facts about our character that we can act on bye just noting them little things what we think he or she may be like.
Snapshot
.Are snapshot was of Phil’s at home and how his family act rounded him.
.the snapshot showed Phil at the dinner table not saying anything and his family are all trying to talk to him but he doesn’t say a word so his family gets more and more pissed off until they get so angry Phil stands up and said shut up! And soon after a walk out the room and the family is glad he gone to leave them in peace.
.we also linked those choices to the play because Phil inside the play is the one that always is up or anything so we kind of changed that round and put him on the quite side and made the family waning to no like he wasn’t there .
.other groups work.
.The group that I found effective was Ben’s group because what they done was very effective because part of the family did talk to there character that they were doing but at the same time they were also ignoring her as well at the same time so they had them to elements inside of there role play . They wanted her out of there faces send like they were more like teenagers that a family.
Nature nurture.
I have been brought up in a nurtured environment because I have been brought up by my parents and they have passed down to me good manners plus a good young life. To a certain degree we react to things that are going on around us in the environment as they have a certain degree of influence over you.
